Venus Bay

We decided to visit Venus bay for this next trip, staying at Venus Bay Caravan Park. The park was well set out, clean and quite. We enjoyed our short stay here.

A short 10min walk from the park was "Beach 1" where the girls got to go for a swim on the friday as the weather was quite warm. We visited the beach both Friday and Saturday but the weather was much cooler on Saturday so no swimming.

On Saturday morning we went over to Inverloch to look at some of the camping sites available there for a future trip and managed to find some tidal pools for the girls to investigate. We found all sorts of small crabs, snails, shrimp and sand anemone.

We spent most of the time away fishing, with the girls keen to catch some fish, any fish, and we tried a number of spots including the fishing platforms at Lower Tarwin and the jetty at Anderson's Inlet. Unfortunately we only managed to catch 2 small salmon at the Jetty with not even a bite at the other spots. All in all the kids had a great time and we managed to pass most of the weekend this way.

One interesting find was a Scorpion that had decided to hide under the camper. We foud it whilst packing up to return home.
