We had this car whilst doing the Mildura/Swan Hill trip in 2010. The car performed extremely well with and without the caravan on the back. Having the 7 seats also came in handy over Christmas when family visited. Under Tow the car seemed to manage around 13L/100km. No graph for this vehicle.
2011 Holden Commodore -Omega Dual Fuel
We had this car during the trip over to Western Australia and back. As per all my other cars, we had no issues with this vehicle, either towing or around town. Showing fuel usage is difficult however due to the duel fuel nature of the model we had. The car is designed to start on Petrol and automatically switch over to gas. We also managed to use both tanks between fills many times during a trip, which effected the way Gas Cubby did its calculation. Under Tow the car seemed to manage around 20L/100km on Gas however this is an average figure and really depended on petrol usage during that time. No graph for this vehicle.
2011 Holden Colorado LT-R 4x4 Diesel
Edited 1/10/12 - Update fuel logs
This is our latest vehicle and is actually the first we have had that is not a lease car in a long time. The car has only done around 10000Km so far and is still performing very well. We purchased this car to both pull the van and to go off road fossicking or sight seeing when the opportunities arise. On our first few trips the car has managed between 12 and 13L/100km as can be seen in the graph below. The highest peak was during our Canberra trip and we were pulling the van up hill most of the way then.
Issues - 26.5.12 At the 10000K service we had the EGR valve and gasket changed due to being faulty and the front passenger Hub seal lubricated due to there being a 5kHz intermittant noise originating from it as it required lubrication. All repairs done by Ballan Holden in werribee and all done under warrenty.
2009 Holden Colorado LT-R 4x2 Petrol
This s actually Dad's Tow Car however we used this on our latest 2012 Darwin trip. This was a 1 month road trip from Melbourne to Darwin towing my 16ft Jayco Expanda. The average for the trip was around 16-17L/100Km however we managed 12.5L/100Km when not towing the van between Katherine and Darwin, and we saw up to 19L/100Km when we had severe headwinds coming home.
